Gérard Grunberg
Gérard Grunberg is Deputy Director of Sciences Po and Vice-Provost for Research. His teaching centres on political science, political values and behaviour and political sociology. He is a former director of the school’s political science post-graduate seminar (1996-2004) and has been a visiting professor at many universities abroad, including NYU, Waseda and Oxford.
Gérard Grunberg is President of the National Committee for Human and Social Sciences (CNRS). He is an active member of several professional associations, including APSA (American Political Science Association); the AFSP (French Political Science Association), where he is a board member; the Presses de Sciences Po; and the Revue Française de Science Politique where he sits on the editorial boards.
He has published widely on political behaviour and value systems, the French and European socialist parties, French and European public opinion and politics. He is co-editor of Le vote des quinze, Paris, Presses de Sciences Po, 2000; La démocratie à l’épreuve, une nouvelle approche de l’opinion des Français, Paris, Presses de Sciences Po, 2002 and L’ambition et le remords, les socialistes français et le pouvoir (1905-2005), Paris, Editions Fayard, 2005.
He is a graduate of Sciences Po in Paris, where he obtained his degree in political science.
